Giving up

No. In case you are wondering, I am not. I am just realizing that there are more important things in my day than blogging, like making sure I sleep, get my homework done, while taking care of the boys. I feel like I have been pounding this mantra out over the last few posts, but I don’t know what else to tell you. This is what I do. Homework, family life, sleep. Today, I spent the morning working on possible locations to hold our class reunion in August.

Here is what I don’t get: Why does every single restaurant and banquet facility set up a different policy for deposits and payment. Who seriously needs to charge $500 for a deposit? Who still charges room fees on top of per person meal fees? A lot of places, actually. I cannot believe the catering and banquet world of Syracuse has such poor representatives. I guess people need to book weddings and events somewhere, so establishments just don’t care about their sales staff being accommodating.

If I ever own a business, you can be sure that whoever answers my phone will be paid well, love their job, and love their environment. Nothing makes me run away from a business faster than hearing the lack of enthusiasm in a sales persons voice when talking about their place or product!

Customer service is an art, and crappy pay = crappy employees.

Ugh! There.
