Time to check in with our friends on good old BH 90210. We just finished the episode where Dylan finds out he has a half-sister, Erika, and David breaks up with Donna because of her no-sex rule. Andrea goes to a midnight Catholic mass with her new boyfriend Jesse, and the Walshes’ plane has mechanical trouble over the Pacific, so they are re-routed from their trip t Hawaii back to Los Angeles. It was a pretty full episode! The reason I bring this all up, is because this just seems like too much for any group of friends to go through all at once. I mean, these are all major things, right? Maybe for the sake of the 1-hour drama they need to cram all this into one segment, but I am on emotional overload from watching. Tarver and I both laugh when we watch these episodes, because we say we have to “check in and see how our friends are doing.” Let’s face it. If you watch a show long and often enough, you become emotionally attached. This also happened to me in the last few months while watching the season 4 of Dexter. I still am in turmoil over the ending. So what are the shows that are watching or have previously watched in which you have emotionally connected with the characters or story? Come on. You know you have at least one!
Let’s hear ‘em!
Monk, The Pretender.
Chuck, Bones and of course Dexter. Those are the ones that do me in emotionally.
